We've got another PROs meeting recap for you. As always, it was packed with intriguing pitches, insights, and tons of learnings. Here's the low-down on what went down.
Our meeting began with a round-robin of 30-second business pitches from all our participants. The room was full of passion and diversity, highlighting the dynamic spectrum of businesses in our group.
The first to take center stage was Vito Sernas of Prosperity PEO (prosperitypeo.com). Vito stressed the importance of investing in oneself, recommending that we commit to putting 10% back into our personal development. Drawing from the wisdom of renowned motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, among other revered business authors, he emphasized the pivotal role of habit formation in achieving sustained success. His insights left us pondering on ways we could invest in ourselves to attain personal and professional growth.
Next to share his insights was George Curbelo of Curbelo Financial Coaching (curbelofinancialcoaching.com). With candor, he narrated his personal journey towards financial stability and how gaining control of his budget was instrumental in this process. George introduced us to the core principles of financial coaching, beginning with a deep understanding of personal financial goals and savings. The financial coaching process, he highlighted, unfolds smoothly once these two factors are precisely defined.
Last but certainly not least, we heard from Brandon Shippee of Harmony Gardenscaping (hgardenscaping.com). He shared his inspiring journey of transitioning from working at a nursery to launching his own landscaping business. The closure of the nursery he worked for was not an end, but rather the impetus that pushed him towards entrepreneurship. Brandon also delved into the realm of Floridian flora, educating us about the nuances of local trees, the detrimental effect of mistletoe on trees, and the surprising fact that palm trees are more akin to grass. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of thoughtful planting, urging us to consider what we want to plant, where, and how it will be adequately maintained.
